Lauren Hotard is the Marketing Coordinator for the DDD and is responsible for assuring consistent delivery of the DDD’s brand promise. She manages partnerships with other private, non-profit, and public organizations and works with local and national media to promote and advocate for Downtown New Orleans. Ms. Hotard also manages the DDD's communications strategy which includes the publication of What's Up Downtown, the DDD's bi-weekly e-newsletter. In 2008, she served on the inaugural Canal Street: Your Home for the Holidays organizational committee and continues to coordinate special events for the DDD. Lauren is a graduate of Tulane University where she earned degrees in both English and Art History from Newcomb College. While at Tulane, she served as the Public Relations Chair of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
| Lauren serves as President of the Board of Directors of Dress for Success New Orleans, on the board of the Legacy Donor Foundation, the New Orleans Jazz Institute, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra's Prelude Advisory Board, and the March of Dimes Spotlight on Success Advisory Board. In 2009 she co-founded Magnolias, an organization that encourages participation in legislative processes by registering young professionals to vote in New Orleans. She is a member of the Young Leadership Council, Press Club of New Orleans, Digital Media Alliance, American Marketing Association and the International Downtown Association. She has worked for several elected officials and continues to be active in local politics. In 2009, she was chosen by the March of Dimes as a "Spotlight on Success" honoree. She lives in Downtown New Orleans.
