DDD Board of Commissioners The Downtown Development District of New Orleans is governed by an 11 member volunteer Board of Commissioners. Board members are appointed by the Mayor of New Orleans, with input from civic groups and approval by the City Council. Downtown's State Senator and State Representative each appoint a member as well. The DDD Board of Commissioners for July 1, 2010 - June 30, 2011:

SCULPTURE FOR NEW ORLEANS
You're not just "seeing things!"Monumental sculptures are popping up around the city of New Orleans, many of them Downtown. The Mariposa Arts Foundation's "Sculpture for New Orleans" project has placed over 25 sculptures in public spaces around the city to bring awareness to New Orleans' thriving arts culture.
