National WWII Museum Celebrates 10th Anniversary with
Weekend of Events to Commemorate 66th Anniversary of D-Day

Saturday, June 6 will not only mark the 66th anniversary of D-Day, but also the National World War II Museum’s 10th anniversary. The museum has planned a full weekend of events designed to pay tribute to those who sacrificed to preserve freedom and celebrate how far Americans have come in honoring their legacy.

The events, sponsored by Chevron, begin Saturday, June 5 and include activities for all ages. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the Museum, get up close and personal with some of the large artifacts (some not on regular display), check in with the PT-305 restoration crew working to get the historic craft back in fighting condition, see the Museum's new 4-D experience "Beyond All Boundaries," enjoy performances by The Victory Belles under the Museum's C-47, and much, much more.

Tonight, the Museum invites locals to the IberiaBank Victory Ball: Desserts & Dancing Party beginning at 9:00 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by the Tip Tops and desserts will served by Chef John Besh and the American Sector Restaurant. There will also be an open bar all night with cordials. Tickets to the event are $25 per person and cocktail or 1940's attire are required.

For more information on the 10th Anniversary events, visit www.nationalww2museum.org. The Museum is located Downtown at 945 Magazine Street.
